In 1960, United Shellfish Company was opened on the Chesapeake Bay in Grasonville, Maryland by parent company Ipswich Shellfish Group. In order to expand quality seafood distribution to the Mid-Atlantic, Maryland’s abundant shellfish – clams, oysters, and crabs – were harvested and brought to an ever expanding number of customers. With over 50 years of successful business growth, we have become the trusted source for all of your seafood needs.
